Summer Happenings

Hey Saddle Lights fans,

We have had a special, eventful summer! Thanks to everyone for praying, writing, and encouraging us through the past year. We need more of it!

We've been riding every day, literally, throughout the Flagstaff area, up Snowbowl Road, out Lake Mary, and around the mountains. Jesse has had a particular blast riding his mountain bike in places I wouldn't dream of hiking, let alone boulder hopping on a bike! His 28th birthday is Monday, so wish him a happy one if you think of it!

Over the past month or so we've been praying about partnering with a University that is considering sponsoring us. For those of you that have been praying, we need you now to pray that 1. Meetings would happen very soon between leaders, even though they're super busy with the school year starting, to make decisions about partnering with us 2. That God would direct them about how to fund us soon!

We also had the special privilege of enjoying lunch today in Flagstaff with Steve and Cindy Wright, of Family Life Radio. It was the first time we've been able to meet them face to face, although we've had many phone/Skype conferences with them over this year. Initially they were sure that they wanted to get us on a FLR broadcast during the summer months, but depending on how some things work out with the morning team DJs, we may or may not be able to do that However, they are going to try their best, regardless, to plug us in with Moody Radio, especially since their radio network is even larger than Family Life radio's. Very exciting!

It was such a blessing to be encouraged by them, to have them listen to the heart behind this ministry, and for them to fully understand the incredible impact this structure of discipleship has on college students. They were excited about where God could take this, and are seeking to connect us with other Christian radio leaders to further spread the impact of Saddle Lights. Please pray these new connections happen, and that God opens more doors for radio coverage of our tours!

Now's the best time to be out riding your bike, saving your gas, working off that winter weight, and celebrating how creation shows off the beauty of our Creator! So get out there and ride!

Look up, keep the rubber side down, and chase the light (john 1:4)!

Kel
