Growth and Growing

So great news! We have been speaking with Family Life Radio, a national Christian radio station that is broadcast in 10 different states on 19 different radio stations, about covering our tours during the six week coast to coast journey in the summer. They recently told us that they want to make us a part of their morning show for 10 minutes every morning as we cross the country, sharing what we are doing, how God is moving, where we are headed, and who our partners are with America (across all of their stations!) The story behind how this came about is only of God, and we'll be sure to write about it in our next newsletter at the end of August, so stay tuned! For now, praise Him with us for His surprise provision in this! It will be an immense help in the fundraising and sponsorship-raising needs that Saddle Lights has!

It's been exciting to be on this journey for the last 1.5 years. We have sensed God's presence all over the movement within Saddle Lights, and have been deeply moved by the Spirit in our personal spiritual growth as well. We are very big dreamers, and usually overly ambitious. The beautiful thing is that when God calls people to His service, no dream is too big, and nothing is overly ambitious for Him. If He wants it, He'll do it!

The only times Jesse and I truly feel afraid, as though we're drowning in the size of this calling to lead Saddle Lights, is when we temporarily think that Saddle Lights is somehow 'ours'; for a brief second we think we can grab the wheel; then we realize the tidal waves around us are four times the size of our boat, and we let go, and let God, again. We know we need a savior to speak to the wind and waves and calm the sea, or we'll get tossed out of the boat! We understand He's given us charge over this, to make wise, careful, prayerful decisions, and that we cannot be anxious about anything that's coming. Instead, as 1 Thess. says, we give thanks to Him in everything, because He is bigger than all of it! As funding needs rise, and the time draws nearer and nearer to this fully launching, the mountain that looms ahead invigorates us, instead of defeating us, because of this attitude of gratitude and abiding in Him that we keep.

During our next blog post, we'll give you some more great updates and share with you a few of the huge tidal waves that will be coming our way after we are fully funded; each one will require God showing up in big ways as well as your continued prayer support!
