Super excited about what's happening. First, we want to say THANK YOU so much to anyone and everyone that has written us, called us, mailed us, etc about the recent letter we sent out. Jesse and I can't express in words how much it means to us to hear your words of encouragement, your thoughts, your prayers, and to receive your financial support. We are truly, deeply, grateful for every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Encouragement will always be needed, and is always welcome. More importantly, we covet your prayers. Constantly pray for this ministry and for us as we move forward.
One of the most special times we have ever shared with family is the group prayer time we recently had in Indiana. 12 of us gathered in my parents living room to pray over Saddle Lights and to dedicate it to the Lord together. They also prayed over us, and over other members of the family. The intimacy and holiness in those moments were more than I can express, as the presence of the Lord was very strongly felt in that room. We were so encouraged and built up by the body of Christ surrounding us, who are both physically and spiritually our family. Thank you, to every one of you.
In that same weekend, we managed to raise the funds to finally file for Tax Exempt Status for our non-profit. This just means that when people make donations to Saddle Lights, pending the paperwork clearing, all donations from that filing date forward will be tax deductible. We will also have access to special discounts and perks reserved for non-profits, and will be able to file taxes for the ministry differently as well. This was a huge step that cost nearly $1000, and you all helped to fund that. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Also, we had been praying about working with and finding a really good, Christian CPA to help navigate these waters with us, and Ben Stanton here in Flagstaff, has been wonderful. We met with him for the first time yesterday, and left so blessed and thankful for the guidance and support his office is giving us. Because of that meeting, I will also be getting (much needed) training in Quickbooks Pro, a financial accounting software program for small businesses. They train privately for it out of their office. If we hadn't met with him, we would've missed this incredible opportunity. The Lord provides, and we are so grateful. Truly, truly grateful!
We have a goal of $165,000 to raise the start up funds to begin Saddle Lights. In the last two weeks, we've raised $3500! We are so excited to watch how God directs this.
Thank you, again, for blessing us! We are on the way! Continue to cover this and us in prayer as we moved forward!
Gratefully His
Kel
