As so many mothers have felt as they have held their first newborn baby, with the sense of fear about all that they could do wrong in their efforts to get parenting right, Jesse and I have also felt about the great blessing and responsibility of starting this ministry and leading it with God's direction throughout the years. So we've decided that this will be our prayer (quoted from James Dobson), to stay under His leading and peace:
"Lord, you know our inadequacies. You know our weaknesses, not only in leading this ministry, but in every area of our lives. We're doing the best we can do to run it, and teach and train these students properly, while leading these trips, but it may not be good enough. As You broke the fishes and the loaves to feed the five thousand hungry people, now take our meager effort and use it to bless this ministry. Make up for the things we do wrong. Satisfy the needs we have not met. Compensate for our blunders and mistakes. Wrap your great arms around our groups, and draw them close to You. And be there when they stand at the great crossroads between right and wrong. All we can give them is our best, and we will continue to do that. We submit them to You now, and rededicate ourselves to the task you have placed before us. The outcome rests securely in your hands."
