Need Support

Hey loved ones! Thank you for taking the time to read our blog, to pray for us, and to give your insights and ideas. We can't say enough how much we appreciate your support and excitement about Saddle Lights. We know that God has great things in store for it.


Recently, we've been doing extensive research into getting legally established as a not for profit ministry. Turns out, it's a lot more difficult than we thought! So far we've determined the steps involved, starting with getting incorporated, which includes designating our board members, and costs $150-$175 in filing fees. Then we need to be trademarked, which costs around $375 in filing fees. We then need to obtain an Employer ID number (EIN) which runs $40 or so, and finally, we need to apply for Not for profit status, which runs $350-$750 depending our our expected gross receipts over a 4 year average. It's looking more like the $750...

In addition to these filing fees, the not for profit status can take 1 full year, to 1.5 full years before it's granted, unless there are donors waiting to give money; money that is contingent on us receiving the not for profit status sooner...in which case the IRS will expedite the application with much groaning....

So, Jesse and I are looking for support to fund the $1300 in filing fees to become legally established, and we know God can provide.

If you or anyone you know would be willing and able to help get this off the ground right now, we are in need! The only donations that wouldn't be a tax deduction would be the incorporation fees. Everything else would be, as long as we can file for the not-for-profit status within the year (which we will, pending the funds being raised).
